New verified technology MetalRem As

We present a new verified technology MetalRem As based on immobilization of arsenic in contaminated soils using application of sulfidated nano zerovalent iron (SnZVI). The application of SnZVI results in the formation of amorphous and finely crystalline iron oxides that act as an effective sorbent for arsenic. At the same time, the application of the material itself does not lead to increased mobilization of antimony in the soil, which can be a problem with other iron-based reagents, as antimony is often found together with arsenic in soils contaminated by metallurgical and mining activities.

The certificate and detailed information on the technology can be found at: MetalRem As Technology - Application of sulfidated nano zerovalent iron for immobilization of arsenic in contaminated soil (zenodo.org).
